RANGOLI

From a simple dot ,to an admirable art !!

I design better than I talk because Rangoli is not just a pattern of colors ,but also an emotion of Indians. Rangoli endows the joy and happiness in all Indian festivals.

The word ‘Rangoli‘ is derived from the Sankskrit term ‘Rangavalli‘ meaning colour. It is well known for its religious and cultural significance and also imbibes the artistry of the person drawing rangoli .
The willingness to express your thoughts through rangoli is itself a fest .

It is an everlasting tradition passed on from one generation to other , and stands as a symbol of good fortune and prosperity for the family .
Rangoli is well known for its numerous designs ,and is evolved by the inventiveness of the people.

All the posted above rangoli pictures were drawn by me and I would keep their rights.

My inspirations, my rangoli ! Simple yet significant . Because beautiful things never seek for attention !

SKETCHING

“Drawing is not what one sees but what one can make others see.” It is vision on paper.Drawing is a creative and enjoyable hobby and there is no doubt about it.

Pencil drawing is one of the pillars of painting .The advantage of a pencil, unlike other drawing and painting tools is the ability to erase .It is truly said that, ‘if not to correct mistakes, then what is an eraser discovered for?’

Some tools used in sketching are:

•Drawing pencils and soft art erasers

•Paper sheet brands for drawing and sketching

•Rulers and sharpeners types

•Blending stumps and tools

•Fixative for a finished drawing or a sketch

Standard drawing pencils:

Pencils come in varying brightness values where HB is the standard value.

▪︎The H stands for hardness and indicates how hard and light the pencil is.

▪︎The B value stands for blackness and indicates how soft and dark the pencil is.

▪The lighter grades will begin with the H values until HB and then, the B group for the dark levels.

Confidence is a pencil best sharpened with paper. It is no surprise that so many people love to draw.

I am having this passion since childhood and by the time I’ve tried to improve myself. Behind each drawing there are many torn sheets gone waste. I have always learnt a new thing each time I commit a mistake. There are many who are so passioned towards drawings and sketches. However with many other creative pursuits,it is easy to run out of ideas! Added to that, drawing doesn’t come like magic ! It takes practice and lots of it. Photography is an immediate reaction, drawing is a meditation.

A pencil and a dream can take you anywhere.”
